In her “Converting” series, she asks: why do Germans become Muslims? In this photographic dialogue with those who have converted, Lia tries to show how Islam is visually presented in the West and how biased our point of view is.

About the artist
Born in Berlin and raised in Hamburg, Lia now works in both cities. In 2011 she finished her studies at the University for Applied Science in Hamburg, and her work has been shown in several group exhibitions. As a photographer she is interested in the space between reality and the way it is represented.
