The idea of totally cancelling the portfolio readings was a very hard blow for the festival team. Since its beginning, this event has been at the heart of the CIRCULATION(S) philosophy.
As a real moment of exchange, the portfolio readings allow photographers to present their work to experts from the photography world: agencies, critics, festival directors, iconographers, gallery owners, etc. in order to gather critical appreciation, to find opportunities to broadcast about their work or to exhibit.
This approach is part of the festival’s willingness to stimulate and promote the young photography.

We have organized a personalized legal consultation during the portfolio readings on April 25th and 26th which will allow you to meet a lawyer online and thus obtain tailored answers to the problems encountered in the current context.

Every year, FETART organizes portfolio readings for photographers during the CIRCULATION(S) festival, which take place at the CENTQUATRE-PARIS since 2014.
This approach is part of the festival’s willingness to stimulate and promote the young photography.
Each year, photographers have the opportunity to meet the experts of their choice, to present their work during one-to-one meetings of 20 minutes each (according to availability) for a fee of 10€ per meeting. During the event, photographers can benefit not only from expert insight into their portfolios, but also from the technical expertise and additional advices from our partner SIGMA.
