On the occasion of the Bulgarian Focus of Circulation(s), we invite the journalist Léo de Boisgisson to animate a lively presentation of Bulgarian photography. Taking advantage of the presence of the artists and a selection of photo books produced by PUK collective! (Sofia), we will address the major themes which run through current photographic creation: the relationship to the archive and the resurgence of the socialist past in contemporary imagery, reflections on the complex identity of Bulgaria at the crossroads of the Balkans and of the former Ottoman Empire and the daily life of today’s youth, kitsch and colourful.

With Nikola Mihov, Hristina Tasheva and Mihail Novakov // Hosted by Léo de Boisgisson.
