Those photographs were taken in Crimea, in the city where the artist was born. She grew up there, surrounded by women. When she left her home town, Olga Vorobyova started to compare herself to all these women and tried to imagine what kind of woman she would have become if she had stayed there. With this series, she reflects on how Primorskiy models the dreams and desires of young women, at the crossroads of their femininity and ambitions.

About the artist

Olga Vorobyova was born in Crimea in 1991. In 2014, she finished her curriculum in metalworking at the National Technical University in Kiev. She then studied documentary photography at the Rodchenko Art School in Moscow.
