In Spain, in the city of Lo Pagán, hundreds of people go swimming in the Mar Menor and bathe in “therapeutic” mud baths. This tourist site is well known for its healing properties, but it is also highly polluted. Maria Moldes was amused by the contradiction and absurdity of the situation, so she went to meet with the bathers and contextualised them in a series inspired by American science fiction movies of the 1950s.
