The images were made less than 50 km away from the center of Athens. In the land that lies past the edge of the city, time seems to move parallel but in a different density. This is an alternate state in a parallel time, where silence becomes a wait, patiently whispering a long forgotten language. A landscape is not restricted within the visible area, but it reaches for the limits of our interpretation, an actual reality, a perpetual state and a momentary revelation…

About the artist
Petro Koublis was born in 1981. After having dedicated some years in painting, he studied photography in Athens and, since then, he has been developing his style through a constant personal exploration. His work has been presented in exhibitions, in magazines all over the world.
