The Melk Gallery, Oslo, Norway is a non-profit-making and artistic initiative founded by Bjarne Bare and Behzad Farazollahi, in order to promote new art-photographers in Scandinavia. Since the gallery opened in 2009 – in central Oslo-, fifteen exhibitions were hosted: twelve of them were an occasion for the artists to show their work for the first time in Oslo. Besides, the Melk Gallery was asked to oraganize two major exhibitions in some of the finest instituions of Norway. The Melk Gallery will open a new place -during Spring 2012- meant to offer more possibilities for international collabortions.
