Lukasz Wierzbowski has been photographing his two nieces for several years now. Ania and Magda are almost as old as he is. Lukasz was about ten years old when he took a picture of them for the first time. Since then, they have posed and performed in front of his camera. Whether they were alone, with Michal –Ania’s boyfriend–, or with their dog Stanley, their connection and ambiguous relationship appear in every picture.

About the artist
Lukasz Wierzbowski was born in Poland in 1983. He started a curriculum in medical studies before he decided to dedicate himself to photography. His work revolves more and more around silver-halide photography.
