“Balnearios Plus Ultra” is a serie that put in parallel 3 seaside cities : Beirut, Marseille and Tel Aviv. The photographer leads us in a poetical journey along the seashores of those 3 cities where urban and seaside are mixed up. She focuses on how human being integrates totally the landscape and surrenders, in sometimes difficult geo-political and socio-economical contexts. Her work seems to be inspired by magical realism.

About the artist
Céline VILLEGAS is a French-Chilean photographer born in 1981 in Lyon (France). She graduated in Political Sciences in 2003. She currently lives and works in Paris and has dedicated her career to photography since 2013. Inspired by both artistic photography and documentary, Celine has a discreet yet poetic view on reality. She particularly works on portraits of territories. A fervent traveller, she has lived in Buenos Aires, as well as other long stays in the Middle East and South America. Her work has been presented in solo shows in Lebanon, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Morocco.
