The “Father and Son” series focuses on how the world can be seen: children see things that are invisible to adults. The photographs presented in the series deliver a more general reflection on the world around us. They are a peaceful manifesto against greed, cynicism, war and materialism.

About the artist
Sami PARKKINEN, born in 1974, is a Finnish artist living in Helsinki. His work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and several European museums including the National Portrait Gallery in London, the Finnish Museum of Photography, the Anna Akhmatova Museum in Saint Petersburg.
