Abroad Is Too Far

The growth in China is dazzling. The standard of living and the leisure industry are developing. The country has a galloping urbanization but speculation leaves thousands of apartments empty. The emergence of a new well-off class disrupts the habits; it is no longer acceptable to share confined spaces with two other generations. It is necessary to find extra surfaces in the city. A series of “new towns” was thus born, dealing with the urbanization problems as well as with the thirst for exoticism of the new generation: their architecture is indeed based on European models. Why want to visit Paris when you can have the Eiffel tower dozens of kilometers away from home?
