Marine Billet turns to Generation Z to understand how young women shape their identity. She meets Célia, Amaya, Exaucé, Luna, and Amina: five young women who confide in her their stories, gestures, and doubts. From this intimate material emerges a series that is part documentary, part staged production. On screen, they oscillate between stillness and movement. It is these moments of uncertainty that she seeks to capture, these lulls in everyday life where inner turmoil is expressed without words.
Reliées [Related] is an ode to the quest for self, to adolescence slipping into adulthood, in all its fragility and universality. A tribute to those we were, are, and will become.

Born in 1991, Marine Billet lives and works in Paris. Her work lies somewhere between reportage and staging. Between luxury commissions and documentary projects, she explores the link between rigour and emotion, revealing the sensitive side of reality.
