About the artist
Silina Syan graduated from Villa Arson in Nice (2020). She develops a transdisciplinary practice mixing photography, video, and documentary forms, often in installation form. Through kitsch, pattern, and dense colorimetry, she creates spaces where fiction, migration, and cultural in-between intertwine. Starting from her own trajectory, between France, Armenia, and Bangladesh, Silina Syan’s work explores details of daily life rituals to bring out alternative and expanded narratives of our intimate and collective histories.
