The Italin national institute of statistics established that there were 3.236.000 unemployed people, including 42,5% of young men and women between the age of 15 and 24. Even though some economists and commentators asert that Italy is overcoming the economic crisis of 2011, many people still hope to find a position into the administration through the external competitive examination system put in place by the government. Despite the measures supposed to bring more transparency to the selection process, the Italian bureaucrary still cannot seem to keep up the pace when it comes to the entrance examinations.

About the artist
Born in Florence (Italy) in 1979, Michele BORZONI qualified in documentary photography and photojournalism at the ICP (New York). In 2006, he creates the Terra Project with three other members. He has been working with many Italian and international newspapers and magazines (Time, Vanity Fair, Marie-Claire…).
