The first details of the 2023 edition

In spring 2023, the thirteenth edition of the Circulation(s) festival will take place… Thanks to this new program, always more adventurous, the public will discover the work of 27 European artists with a particular highlight of the Bulgarian scene, within the framework of the focus of the festival.

Fourteen nationalities will communicate to tell a part of the world through common themes: migration, youth, nature, trauma, identity or science. In this exhibition, the ideas and concerns of a new generation of photographers will circulate.

A meeting cherished by a motley public – professionals, the curious, passers-by and photography lovers – Circulation(s) will once again take place at the CENTQUATRE-PARIS, a cultural vessel in eastern Paris. Located in the 19th arrondissement, this atypical establishment, built on the site of the former municipal funeral home, has the allure, energy and ambition of a place of life. An ideal setting for Circulation(s).

The festival will take place there for two months. It will also extend in the form of tours and off-site performances in France and Europe.

Professional weekends will also be organized around portfolio readings and meetings with the artists. Not to mention our famous photo studios, a highlight of the event.

Reflecting the European contemporary artistic ebullition, Circulation(s) will once again make the works converse to question the borders between photography and contemporary art.
