Having grown up in the Languedoc region, Camille SONALLY has always felt that some tourist locations gave the impression of being in America. In the “Miami/Languedoc- Roussillon” series, she isolates the context of stereotypical elements evoking the American continent to artificially create a sense of the exotic.

About the artist
Born in 1987, Camille SONALLY studied and graduated from the Montpellier School of Fine Arts and the National School of Photography, in Arles, France. Her work has been shown in La Friche Belle de Mai in Marseille, in the CRAC in Sète, and in the International Festival of Photography in Arles. She lives and works in Montpellier, France.
