Pepe Guinea was diagnosed with a brain tumor five years ago. After a long period of continuing to live normally, he suddenly fell to the ground whilst out on the street. A feeling of weakness overwhelmed him. “Hogar” becomes the photographic diary of his experiences of confinement. For him, this was also the way to manifest a reality which, although difficult to share, must be faced.

About the artist
Pepe Guinea Sanchez, born in 1974 in Madrid, is an Spanish photographer. After working in the film business and photography, he began a career in engineering. He began to take photographs again just after learning that he was suffering from a brain tumor. He studied several courses of photography in EFTI School in Madrid and this year he study Photoespaña.
