Flowers for daddy

France

2013

“Flower for daddy” starts in 2009 after the brutal death of her father. The whole family is then gathered in the living room around the body. The days that pass by seem so unreal. Beautiful flowers pile up around the body. So many tokens of love for this man, her beloved daddy. The artist who has always loved flowers, ends up questioning what they represent: life? Death? The confusion leads Marie to take picture in order to analyze them, dismantle them and accept what they tell about life, in its most beautiful and hardest aspects.
